Linux is a geek’s own language, it is developed by webmasters – for webmasters. Just the ability of working and developing code in Linux compatible language gives geeks a huge kick, makes them feel superior to their Windows counterparts. However, it is not just the kick and satisfaction a webmaster gets from coding in Linux for Linux environment, there are a number of benefits which compel a webmaster to choose Linux as his primary coding language, for instance:

Customizing pre-existing scripts allows a webmaster to save a lot of time in planning and designing a script and you can concentrate on the most important part- client’s requirement.
3. Flexibility: The Linux environment is far more flexible than Windows environment. Developing scripts for Linux is a great deal easier as the webmaster can develop scripts that can modify settings on the fly to meet a particular demand of the user and then change everything back to before.

Freely available scripts and help: the last and the foremost benefit for a webmaster using Linux is that they can get scripts and help for free unlike in Windows where almost everything comes at a price. In Linux you can get help on any topic, fast and free in online communities, be it php or wordpress you’ll always find people in communities online and looking forward to answer your queries.
